Serving residents and visitors in Franklin County, Florida, George E. Weems Memorial Hospital wants you to know "Help is Here!" Though Franklin County is a rural area, you don't need to travel to one of the large urban hospitals in Tallahassee or Panama City for care.

Should more invasive care become necessary, Weems Hospital has a fleet of ambulances with well-trained paramedics and EMTs. Help consists of a well-equipped emergency room—open 24 hours a day, everyday. Physicians are experienced emergency room doctors. If you are having what you suspect is cardiac or pulmonary distress, Weems emergency room staff are ready to assist you within minutes. Recent studies show the average Weems patient is seen in the emergency room and released within one hour and fifty minutes of his/her coming through the hospital door. Weems also provides primary care if you do not have a physician in the area. There are 25 inpatient and swing beds, which can be used for short-term skilled nursing care.
